The project

Believing California is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that seeks to reforest California by planting trees in the most needed areas.

Let's work towards the future

Let’s reforest our cities, stop climate change, and improve our quality of life.

Believing California wants to help address the issue of climate change. The goal of this reforestation project is to reforest our cities, manage and maintain a healthy tree coverage, and involve leaders, communities, schools, universities, businesses, and volunteers.

We believe that developing permanent solutions will lead the way for others to follow and will benefit both the environment and society. Believing California wants to encourage a change in attitudes toward environmental protection to benefit future generations.

We will split the project into specific areas:

1. Research
Teams of trained workers and volunteers will create inventories, locate planting areas, and provide information for authorization of planting.
2. Prepare
In certain situations, existing trees that do not meet health criteria may need to be removed or relocated to create a healthier urban ecosystem.
3. Organize
The project will be divided into segments based on specific city needs and a sustainable timeline
4. Evaluate
Each sector to be reforested will undergo an evaluation.
5. Execute
Young trees will be selected and planted according to city recommendations, and each tree will receive maintenance for up to 5 years.
6. Grow
By working sector by sector, we will exponentially increase tree coverage, with an estimated average of 20 trees reforested per area.

More than 44% of the population have less than 7% tree cover, cities like Pomona, Downey, Sylmar, Compton and San Pedro are examples of them, while other cities like Beverly Hills have more than 26% coverage.

To make our cities greener

We want

to plant trees and break the cycle of having some of the most air polluted cities in the United States.

We need

your help greening our cities to improve our quality of life by reducing pollutants, and improving our environment

We expect

that by increasing the number of trees in our cities we can mitigate some of the impacts of climate change.

Our project

aims to combat desertification in Southern California by greening open spaces, better utilizing natural resources, and restoring biodiversity.

Caring for the environment is highly valued in our society, and having our cities covered with healthy trees exemplifies our commitment to protect and preserve the world for future generations.
